Under current legislation, it is the legal responsibility of occupiers of a building to prepare and publish Emergency Response Plans. These plans detail the actions to be taken in the case of an emergency, such as a fire, flood or gas leak. Fire Wardens are designated the responsibility of executing the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) in the event of an emergency. Our Fire Warden course provides participants with the knowledge to enable them to carry out their own fire safety drill effectively and safely and to ensure that the ERP is executed in a timely and effective manner.
The course will be presented in a modular format, which includes problem-based learning and practical skills. Assessments of the learners are carried out through the tutor’s observations of their engagement on the course and their participation in the practical skills sessions.
The recommended maximum number of learners on the course is 8.
One day with refreshment breaks
No previous qualifications are required for learners to participate in the course.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Fire Warden Certificate from EMS & Associates. All course tutors hold a third-level qualification in Health & Safety.
