The First Aid Information course is designed to provide learners with basic first aid skills to enable them to cope with a casualty until more qualified personnel are available. The aim is to make learners more confident in dealing with everyday first aid situations that arise without warning. First aid is a basic life skill that we all need. It is better to know first aid and not need it, than to need it and not know it.
The course will be presented in a modular format, which includes problem-based learning and practical skills. Assessments of the learners are carried out through the tutor’s observations of their engagement on the course and their participation in the practical skills sessions.
One day with refreshment breaks
No previous qualifications are required for learners to participate in the course.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a First Aid Information Certificate from EMS & Associates. All course tutors are registered instructors with the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC).
