The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) is a UN-led initiative to synchronise the classification and labelling of chemicals worldwide. The Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulations (EG Reg 1272-2008) are the regulations for the implementation of GHS in Europe.
This GHS/CLP Awareness workshop is aimed at employees who interact with chemicals on a regular basis and are familiar with handling techniques. The practical aspect of the course ensures that staff are comfortable with all the technical aspects of the regulations.
The workshop, while classroom-based and instructor-led, is interactive, with PowerPoint presentations, group work and discussions used to reinforce learning outcomes.
The maximum number of participants is 12.
One half-day with a 15-minute refreshment break provided.
No previous qualifications are required for learners to participate in the course.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a GHS/CLP Awareness Certificate from EMS & Associates.
