Our Story
EMS & Associates, established in April 1995, offer a comprehensive range of professional consultancy, auditing and training services to suit our clients’ needs in the design, development and implementation of appropriate Safety, Health and Welfare Management Systems. Our client base comprises SMEs, Multi-National Companies and Government Bodies and Community Projects.
Our motto is simple – “Excellence in Standards. Standards in Excellence.”
This defines who we are in meeting the exacting standards required to be a PHECC (Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council) Approved Training Institution, an affiliated Irish Heart Foundation Training Site, and a SOLAS Safe Pass Approved Training Organisation.

We strive constantly to ensure our standards of excellence prevail and our longevity is a testament to our beliefs. We provide training at both your site and in our Training Centre using state of the art audio-visual equipment and training aids. Not only do we have excellent internal resources but we also have access to a very competent team of health and safety consultants and trainers with a wide range of industry experience in various disciplines relevant to health and safety.

We operate throughout all of Ireland and offer superb administrative back up from our EMS Support Team based in our offices in Drogheda, Co.Louth. Our aim is to provide a friendly, personal and professional service at all times. We work with you – not for you.
QQI
EMS & Associates recently completed re-engagement with QQI (Quality and Qualifications Ireland). EMS are the only private QQI providers in the health and safety industry, in Louth. We deliver accredited health and safety related modules at Levels 4 – 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications. These modules are designed and suitable for industry, or those with an interest in developing their skills and knowledge in Health and Safety.
Niall Edwards, Managing Director, said that “the work in compiling our new Quality Assurance Manual was a worthwhile journey in exploring our approach to teaching and ensuring the learner is at the centre of all training we deliver. We look forward to further expanding the range of courses we offer and are excited about our future training plans”.
EMS & Associates originally got their Quality Assurance agreed with FETAC (Further Education and Training Awards Council) back in October 2007. HETAC, FETAC and the National Qualifications Authority of Ireland were dissolved in 2012 through the Qualifications and Quality Assurance (Education and Training) Act 2012, and QQI was born.
QQI is an independent State agency responsible for promoting quality and accountability in education and training services in Ireland. QQI promote, maintain, and develop the Irish National Framework of Qualifications, a 10-level framework for the development, recognition, and awarding of qualifications in Ireland.
